Adrien Contesse is a french graphic and type designer. He graduated with highest honors from Ésad Amiens (école supérieure d'Art et design).
He works for cultural and corporate institutions and focuses on typographic creations for identities, posters and book design.
Adrien has won several design awards and his work has been published in art and design magazines. Besides his corporate work, Adrien is involved in two language/type design research projects.
He is part of Ésad Amiens' Gestual Script research team, working on the Typannot project, which aims to create a glyphic system to transcribe sign languages.
He is also the founder of Vocal Grammatics, a trans-disciplinary research project founded to design a writing system for beatbox along with an accompanying digital learning tool.
