NÓS Architects was founded in 2017 by Gil Hardy and Charles Laurence Proulx. The studio works to bring together creators with varied and complementary expertise in an innovative space.
Among others, architects, landscape architects and artists from different cultures find themselves interacting and innovating around common projects. Driven by a contemporary spirit, each project presents itself as an opportunity to conceive a unique environment for its users.
NÓS is the spirit of a new generation that creates places and spaces that reflect their plural identity. Rigour and professionalism are the leading values at NÓS, these guide all of their creative and collaborative processes.
As NÓS Architects are recognized by the Order of Architects of Quebec (OAQ) – the national organization for the public protection that oversees ethics and provides ongoing training for its members –, all of their partners and customers can be assured of a responsible and reliable service.
Less than a year after being launched, the studio has built an envious portfolio demonstrating their competencies in implementing various types of projects. Which lets foreshadow a significant recognition of their practices in a close future.
Together, the team has conducted large-scale projects as well as numerous smaller tactical urbanism interventions on the public space, mainly for the City of Montreal. For examples, NÓS Architects is now conducting the construction of the residential towers “Union sur le Parc” in Montreal; the studio led the conception and planning of familial residences situated in natural contexts; or, they were commissioned to design and build the site-specific installation for the Index Design 2018 guide launching.
