Stefanie Herr, born 1974 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, currently lives and works in Barcelona, Spain. After studying architecture at the Technische Universität Berlin and Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura de Barcelona, she initially worked as an architectural designer and model maker before turning to visual arts in 2007.

Her hybrid creations blur the line between the bidimensional photographic image and sculpture and are characterized by time-consuming, labor-intensive manual processes that involve repetitive and monotonous actions.
