Born and raised in Switzerland with a strong connection to natureand environment Thomas Kilian Bruderer attended the elementary and high school I near St. Gallen / Switzerland which is famous for its long tradition in textile industry.

During his apprenticeship he sold the most exclusiveavant-garde fashion designers of the 90ies like Maison Martin Margiela, Comme des Garçons and Rick Owens. Infected with the textile virus and inspired by the daily handling with the highest qualityfabrics he worked his way up to a buyers assistant of a well-knowndepartment store in Switzerland.

Understated by the monotonous office work, he decided with over 30 years to study textile design and was accepted thanks to his "special artistic talent "in 2011 at the Weissensee School of Art in Berlin, Germany.

Only recently he finished his master's degree there with excelent degrees and is now on the way to become a Meisterschüler. The sustainable project "Cho'jac" in cooperation with artisans from thethe indigenous Mayan Tzotzil in Chiapas (Mexico) was founded as final thesis of his Master's degree and was nomintated for several design prices such as the Federal Award for Ecological Design of Germany.
