Anormal by Spoonik project comes to El Gallinero with a logo, a color palette and the desire to do things differently. We created the concept "Tradición Callejera: lo más chido de Colombia, lo más chimbita de México" (Street Tradition), to provoke a cultural dialogue: two Latin gastronomic traditions combined for a European audience.
Part of the assignment was to show good manners to the customers from Barcelona. . . the properly way to eat the Latin street delights. Therefore, we designed some instruction booklets, in the style of assembling furniture, so that customers knew how to assemble and eat their own tacos, empanadas, ceviches, arepas paisas and nachos.
The menu is completed graphically with Colombian and Mexican expressions, and with overprinted photographs taken in the streets of Mexico, Peru, Guatemala and Colombia in a reminiscent style of risography.
