ESTACIÓN (TYPEFACE)

{Typeface Design Projec}The Typeface “Estación” was developed for Estación Diseño (High School of Design and Visual Arts - Granada), conceived to implement his corporate identity and communications, besides being a resource of free use for the students and teachers community .

The typographical set development project arises from the redesign of the brand proposed in december, 2015. It was then proposed the possibility of offering to the school a communication support with a wide languages coverage (Latin-Pro) and a set of more than 400 glyphs.

The constructive model of the typeface was developed from a modular system generated from the school logo, and the set was inspired by the construction of Ludwin Goller's DIN-1451 Engschrift (1929), although we propose a different proportionality relationship (6/4 of "x" height).

David Lopez is PhD in Fine Arts for the University of Granada. He teaches and researches in the department of Art and Architecture at the University of Málaga since 2008. He also works as teacher and project manager at “Estación Diseño” (High School of Design - Granada) since 2011.
