Under the slogan “Nobody is illegal”, the Popular Union of Street Vendors of Barcelona and Playground Do presented the first fashion collection driven by street vendors. The project, started in June 2017, aimed to improve the living conditions of the manteros and find alternatives to the sale of imitation products on the streets of Barcelona.
DOT participated in the design of the “manta”, an icon of the Vendors Collective. We investigated the functionalities of the product and saw the potential of massive use of this.
We designed the new “manta” with the aim of being part of their range of products under “Top Manta” brand in order to sell it as a product of multiple uses such as blanket and bag.
