The Bridge Game

Visual identity for a cooperative board game „The Bridge” ("Most” in Polish). The tool helps to build collaborative capacity and develop soft skills. It was designed for educators who work with vulnerable social groups.

Among the players we would find different profiles of people, for example: an unemployed older person, a victim of domestic violence or a person with intellectual disability. The aim of the game is to rebuild a village destroyed by the flown.

To do so the players have to find needed materials and cross together the bridge. The tool was created following the Design Thinking methodology. The project included the creation of elements such as the board, cards, legend, pawns, learning methodology and illustrated role-play scenarios.

The visual identity was adjusted to the target group and based on simple, easy to identify black icons used for the cards and other elements. Colorful backgrounds divided the cads into different categories (green, yellow, pink - positive cards; red - dangers).

Everything was made of natural materials to give the game a simple and accessible character. The board was printed on cardboard, wooden elements - pawns and the box, were made manually.

The whole look of the game stays minimalist and raw but still positive, colorful and engaging to play. The logotype of the Bridge symbolises the idea of connection, building together and getting back on the path.

The game was created by Asociación Smilemundo in a cooperation with Center for Civic Initiatives and Słupsk Municipality from Poland as a part of “Time for Change. Polish - Catalan exchange”, founded under Power 2014-2020 program.
