What effect might a handmade object have in the world where documentation of the objects we make is more often than not, retained and distributed digitally.
I am interested in the effect this might have on the way we understand ‘craft’ objects and whether the ‘crafting’ of an object might still have an impact, both technically and conceptually – even if you can’t physically see or touch it? What I am really asking myself is, why keep making books and what bearing does learning and maintaining a craft skill have on your creative visual language?.
