Andreu Balius is a type designer based in Barcelona (Spain). He runs his own design studio and foundry (typerepublic.com) where he designs corporate custom and retail typefaces.
He has been awarded for his type design work and has participated in several international events, giving conferences and workshops. He holds a PhD in Design from the University of Southampton (UK) and is a member of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale) since 2010, TDC (Type Director’s Club) and ATypI (Association Typographique Internationale).
Apart from his type affairs, he also loves hiking and riding his mountain bike.
