DSType is an independent type foundry, founded in 1994 by Dino dos Santos. Along the years we had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s most recognised companies, brands and publications, while creating an extensive and comprehensive catalogue of high quality typefaces.
We have received numerous awards, including a Certificate of Excellence in Type Design by the Type Directors Club; the Creative Review Type Design Awards; the Bienal Ibero-Americana de Diseño award and two Communication Arts Type Award of Excellence.
DSType's work has been featured in several international magazines, books and exhibitions worldwide.
Many of our typefaces have a special focus on editorial projects, and our typefaces were selected to be used in many well known publications like Newsweek, USA Today, El País, Libération, Forbes and The News York Times Magazine, among many others. We also worked with leading companies and world scale events like the Expo 2020 Dubai, Fifa World Cup Russia 2018 and UEFA Euro 2020.
