João Couceiro e Castro, born in Coimbra, grew up in Fiães, Santa Maria da Feirawhere he began to explore his interest in music, sports, and performative arts. With a brief passage through acting and movies, fell in love with typography and sound during the time he spent taking his Bachelor Degree in Design and Multimedia at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra.
Today, months away from presenting his final Master Thesis in Design and Multimedia in the same institution, he explores the connection between speech and the visual representation of language in a project he called «Máquina de Ouver».
