Dicen que tengo Alzheimer

Maria Mas Pastor

This project is based on how a person disappears with Alzheimer's disease and how it is a very common disease but people do not usually talk about it. It is very intense and when you know it first hand it takes away your breath.

The main purpose of this project is to share people's experiences with this disease. To achieve this goal, we need to represent Alzheimer’s in a graphic way. Seven different typography variations have been designed in which each one fades away more and more until disappearing.

These typographies are used in a book in which several writers have contributed different texts about Alzheimer's. To accompany these texts and emphasize the concept of the disease, we have developed old photographies, all from the same photographer, and subsequently edited them trying to convey the confusion felt by Alzheimer's patients.

This way the book itself becomes the person with the disease and friends and family that accompany him. This project does not intend to leave you a good feeling. What it wants is for you to understand the disease and everything that comes along with it.

I'm Maria, a Graphic Design student who is passionate about typography. I'm from Elche, Alicante, and my family has always supported me and encouraged me to study what I love.
