THE ACCORDION

EFSTATHIA MANTA

The main idea of the lamp it came from the musical instrument accordion, as the foldings it creates are making a flexible movement for the luminaire. It has been designed with delicate aesthetics, which comes from Japanese culture, with the aim of being easily used by older people but even by people who suffer from problems with their back.

It has an ideal weight as the materials used are bamboo and cotton paper. While on the inside it contains led lights.

I am a 3rd year student at the University of West Attica, in the department of Interior Architecture, but I would like to become an industrial designer. I believe that I have a lot to learn from design and that is why I want to continue my education with a master's degree in industrial design.
