Aintzane Martínez de Luna was born and works in Bilbao. The artistic career of Luna, Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, has made her develop different professional aspects in the field of graphic design, without leaving her passion for visual arts.

In 2001, Luna participates in the collective exhibition CowParade in Bilbao. In 2004, presents her first solo exhibition in Bilbao, a set of portraits, object of most of her plastic work.

From that year on Luna incorporates new technologies to her creative process. During the following years, Luna participates in several exhibitions including the project ‘Incógnitas’ produced for Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.

In 2009, while preparing a show, Luna makes contact with ceramics in a fresh outlook. Her own universe, influences, feelings and personal experiences are turned into the creations.

There is also a place for criticism: Creations that may seem naive are a reflection on the creative act from an ironic look. Currently, Luna’s work is materialized through intervened ceramics -mainly reused ceramics which change from the original context- as well as handmade ceramic pieces.

A creative energy in parallel with her passion for typography leads her to develop a great project using ceramics as a means of expression.
