Kukulcao

Daniela Masías

Kukulcao is a ficticial project I made for an assignment. It is a fictional chocolate brand which concept is based on traveling and discovering the cultures and animals of each country. For these first three packagings of the brand I went with countries in which chocolate is made or are famous for their chocolate. For the first one I chose Madagascar and named it “Madagascar Charm”. This country is one of the biggest sources of cacao in the world. I decided to portray a dwarf lemur, a mouse lemur, a baobab and of course some cacao on this packaging. For the second one I went with Switzerland, which is very famous for it’s chocolate, and named it “Swiss Delight”. I put a goat, a cow, the Alps, a house and some milk. Lastly, for the third one I chose Ecuador and went with the name “Ecuador Joy”. It shows a jaguar, toucan, an ecuadorian Panama hat and some cacao. On the inside of the packaging it would show some information about the animals and the places they’re from. They all have vibrant and contrasting colors.

My name is Daniela Masías. I’m 19 years old, I come from Perú but currently live in Madrid. I came here to study Illustration at UDIT. I studied Graphic Design back in Lima but discovered that Illustration is my true passion. I’ve loved drawing since I was little and would love to become a Children’s book Illustrator. I love using warm colors and textures in my drawings.
