The restyling of the brand stems from an analysis of the history and origins of the cooperative. The cooperative was born 40 years ago and it was then inspired by the Bauhaus typography for its logo and by Oskar Schlemmer's theatrical costume designs for the symbol of the "geometric man".
The latter has accompanied the cooperative's journey over time, with a couple of restyling of brand operations. "The first performance of the Triadic Ballet - writes Marina Bistolfi in the still fundamental Oskar Schlemmer, Scritti sul teatro, Feltrinelli, 1981 - takes place on 30 September 1922 (therefore already in the middle of the Bauhaus season) at the Landestheater in Stuttgart.
The structure of the ballet is based on the triad, the agreement of the three, since in this number the egoism of the one and the dualistic opposition are overcome to make room for the collective; one, two and three alternate and merge: three are the dancers, one woman and two men, three sections of the ballet consisting of twelve dances performed by eighteen costumes: the formal groupings are made up of three elements: shape color space , height depth width, pyramid cube sphere, red blue yellow.
"Thus, even the brand created to represent the cooperative's 40th anniversary is made up of three geometric shapes: the triangle, the square and the circle; shapes that compose and break down to create the two numbers.
The result is a very clean and dynamic shape, also thanks to the horizontal “cut” that we inserted to create a line of continuity between the number 40 and the labyrinth logo, a red line that crosses them both and visually unites them.
